Maali
Maali is a Pink Galah. Maali is an Aboriginal name, which in Biripi language means ‘Elder Tree’. Maali is supporting our committed fundraisers returning from last year. Maali wants to ensure more kids can access vital mental health resources.
Wes
Wes is a ‘Western long-beaked’ Echidna. This species of Echidna is thought to be extinct, but hopefully they are all just shy like Wes. Wes looks out for our newbies and like them, wants all Aussie kids to have the tools they need to thrive.
Tam
Tam is a platypus. Short for Tambreet, which is the Aboriginal term for a platypus in the Yass, Murrumbidgee & Tumut regions of NSW, Australia. Tam supports our fundraising VIPs, those going the extra mile for kids’ mental health.
Do it for kids like Dylan
Dylan is a typical primary-aged kid – he loves soccer and netball, and enjoys playing the piano and reading.
And at such a young age, he began feeling overwhelmed with school, friendships and the future. That was until he was introduced to the Smiling Mind app.
Now, he uses it every day as a way of calming himself at school for tests and sports, or in the evenings so he can enjoy a good night’s sleep.
“My meditation routine is one Smiling Mind every night because that really helps me slow down and press the pause button.”
By signing up for Walk For Kids’ Mental Health and raising funds, you’ll be enabling Aussie kids like Dylan to access resources that will improve their mental wellbeing.
