Anyone! Whether you're an individual, a team, a bunch of mates, or a workplace - registering for Walk for Kids' Mental Health couldn't be easier. If you're under 16, you'll just have to get parental consent first (it's a legal thing) - but use it as an excuse to get them signed up too!

Why 21 minutes?

The Australian government recommends a minimum of 2.5 hours of moderate activity a week for good physical and mental health. You have the option at registration to choose the number of minutes per day you will walk - pick the number of minutes that suits you!

Your fundraising will help fund evidence-based programs created by Smiling Mind for students and for educators. Smiling Mind’s Social and Emotional Learning program (SEL) can effectively build children’s abilities to succeed and thrive and boost wellbeing in the often-difficult school environment. You can read more about the programs and services your fundraising will support here.

Thanks to our amazing fundraisers and donors last year, Smiling Mind has been able to reach almost 2 million Aussie kids and their families with the tools and resources needed to help them thrive. Positive mental health starts at home, with great routines and healthy habits built into the regular week. Research informs every program we develop so that we can deliver the most robust and evidence-based programs to schools, homes and the world. Our vision is to help every mind thrive, thank you for joining us on Walk for Kids' Mental Health - every step you take this November is a stride towards better mental health for all Aussie kids!

Can I fundraise just on Facebook like last year?

Can I get t-shirts for my kids?

add remove

Thanks to our generous partner, DECJUBA, t-shirts are available for participants and up to two children this year as a reward for fundraising. First you need to add children to the My Family section on your fundraising page via the Edit My Page tab on your dashboard. To claim your first kids' t-shirt you need to raise $50, to claim the second kids' t-shirt you need to raise $100. All t-shirts can be claimed through the DECJUBA website via a button on your dashboard.

There's an option to pay for postage for my t-shirts, who gets that fee?

add remove

All postage costs paid by participants for adults and kids' t-shirts come directly to Smiling Mind. Thank you for taking up our offer to pay for postage. This helps us keep the costs down so more of the funds you raise can go towards our programs supporting kids' mental health.
